'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is presently two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the maiden significant honor of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
