The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
